This will be an opportunity for attendees to understand key concepts relating to diversity, and to utilise this understanding to deal with difficult scenarios where they may be the victim, bystander or instigator of micro aggressive behaviour.
This is an interactive workshop, with participants expected to contribute to the discussion. Usual ground rules regarding confidentiality of small groups will apply.
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
Explore and discuss key diversity concepts, such as cultural sensibility, micro aggression and unconscious bias
Consider ways to challenge micro aggressions and utilise strategies to prevent these occurring
