Meet Jane Kerr, author of The Elephant Thief, and join her in the story tent to discover more about the amazing true-life adventure of Maharajah the Elephant. Jane will also be giving a short reading from ‘The Elephant Thief’ in the Manchester Gallery next to our famous Maharajah exhibit, and there will be the opportunity to purchase your own signed copy of the book to treasure and keep.
You will also be able to see the Elephant Thief BookBench, which was created by Stanley Grove Primary School as part of the Read Manchester campaign from the National Literacy Trust and Manchester City Council.
