This two-hour workshop will take participants through an intensive introduction to making 3D environments for research and teaching. Participants will download the Unity game engine, set up accounts, create a basic terrain, import assets and explore their newly-created worlds. Other helpful software programmes will be discussed and briefly presented as well. This workshop is designed for novices and requires no previous knowledge. Participants must bring their own laptop and internet connection; a limited number of laptops will be available to borrow on the day. If you require the loan of a laptop, please let the organisers know by Wednesday 13th April via email to dh@manchester.ac.uk.
