This year's annual Statistics Careers Event (kindly sponsored by the RSS Manchester Local Group) will take place on Wednesday, 6th March 2019, 1.30-4.00 pm in the Alan Turing Building, University of Manchester. It is an occasion for anyone who is interested in or even maybe just considering a career in Statistics.
The following organisations will be attending the Event: BBC, AutoTrader, Lloyds Bank, Lubrizol, PHASTAR, AlphaPlus, the local Royal Statistical Society (RSS) Young Statisticians' Section and the University of Manchester Careers Service. Some of these will present talks starting at 2.30 pm but all will have stands in the Foyer giving you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the roles of statisticians and data scientists.
Although the majority of the organisations attending offer graduate opportunities so all Final Year UG, MSc and PhD students are invited, the Event is also suitable for 2nd year UG students as a way to see how they may wish to structure their programme in the next Academic Year(s).
Attendance is free but please register to attend.
