The Faculty Graduate School and Graduate Society are delighted to announce our first Postgraduate Research (PGR) Showcase event, taking place 6 September 2013.
Open to all our postgraduate research students and academics, the showcase provides an opportunity to find out more about the pioneering research being conducted by our postgraduates, with oral and poster presentations representing all our Schools and Institutes.
Alongside this, expert review panels will provide feedback to support and develop presentation skills whilst peer review opportunities will develop the assessment skills of our audience. Prizes will be awarded for both oral and poster presentations.
Our network of Postgraduate Directors, Tutors and Skills Trainers will be on hand to offer further advice to those planning poster or oral presentations at future events.
The event includes lunch and opportunity for students to share thoughts on their postgraduate experience so far, seek guidance on the challenges ahead and make connections with fellow students.
So, whether you are starting out on your postgraduate degree, are due to make the leap into your first postdoctoral position or are an academic involved in postgraduate supervision, the showcase promises to be an invaluable day.
