The University of Manchester Gateway Programme provides a new opportunity for Year 7-11 learners within Greater Manchester to participate in a coherent series of academic enrichment and Higher Education awareness activities.
The Y9 Build Your Future Visit is an opportunity for learners to explore potential career opportunities following further study in a range of subject areas. Learners will attend a hands-on, interactive workshop in the morning looking at the benefits of University study followed by two afternoon workshops focussing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths), Medical Human and Biological Sciences, and Humanities. Learners will be given information relevant to future careers related to the areas covered in the workshops.
