The University of Manchester will once again be celebrating women in business by hosting another inspirational event aimed at empowering women to embrace their inner-creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

Engage with The Future Kind Collective as they challenge the traditional consultancy model to put people and purpose first! Alicia and Nat, founders of The Future Kind, have transformed and shaped organisations such as start-ups, FTSE 100 leaders in finance, retail and tech to encourage purpose-led strategies.

Listen in to hear their experiences, insights, and reflections on how they continually push the limits and become change makers in key industries.

Immerse yourself in this energetic event, and learn, network and share experiences with like-minded individuals across the University.

Hosted by the Masood Enterprise Centre, this half-day event will feature a range of insightful workshops and drop-in sessions which will help build confidence, broaden networks, and introduce new tools to help manage challenging situations.

Lack of confidence and a fear of failure is one of the biggest roadblocks to a lot of our journeys, whether that be as students, entrepreneurs or in our everyday lives. For this year’s She’s the Business, we want to challenge your fear of failure with a powerful panel of industry leaders.

Ranging from experiences in the fashion industry, agri-tech solutions, to the creatives and dance sector, key in to how each of our panel members overcame barriers and set expectations in their respective fields. From securing over £3.5m in funding for their agri-tech, to making the step away from fast fashion into slow-fashion, each unique story showcases the leaps and confidence needed to challenge the norm.

Taking place at the University’s award winning Business School, She’s the Business will feature various activities for budding female entrepreneurs wanting to accelerate their ideas to the next level through powerful concepts and original thinking.

After hearing our inspirational panel and keynote, join us for an action-packed afternoon of workshops and personal development. Whether you’d like to work on and improve your personal branding or turn your passion or hobby into a potential project/business, our workshops are a perfect fit for all! You will have the chance to attend 2 of the following 3 workshops:

- Personal Branding: Find your purpose and learn how to use story-telling to bring your passion to life. You’ll learn the practical tools to help define your purpose, vision and mission for a purpose-driven outlook.
- Ideation: Try out some interactive ideation techniques to generate and filter out ideas for a passion, project or business.
- Value Proposition: Learn how to craft a crystal clear offering for your talents, product or service to give yourself a leading edge over your competitors.

Prepare to be empowered, and equipped with the knowledge, tools, contacts and resilience to thrive in our globally-connected world with heavy digital dominance and strong social pressures.
