The speakers will first share opening statements and thoughts on contemporary Chinese masculinities before the session will be opened up to discussants and the audience. The discussion will explore Chinese masculinities both in China and further afield, with reflections on the construction of masculine stereotypes at the intersection of gender, race, and violence.
