Latin American Labour Movements in times of Crisis: labour reforms, far-right offensive, and the disorganisation of the working class

The presentation outlooks the challenges that labour movements in Latin America face in the course of the global crisis, focusing on labour reforms and rising authoritarianism by far-right governments – backed by significant sections of the working people. To understand the ongoing perspectives, it brings to the fore the dynamics and politics of labour movements since the consolidation of neoliberal globalisation in connection to the broader changes in the class composition of Latin America societies.
