Visit the John Rylands Library and see collections relating to the Peterloo Massacre and Aftermath. This is a rare opportunity to view The Peterloo Relief Fund account book containing information on 350 men, women and children wounded on St Peter’s Field 16th August 1819.
Other items to see include a screen-printed handkerchief created by Manchester artist Mancsy, to mark the 200th anniversary (2019) of the Peterloo Massacre.
Additional collections available highlight leading Manchester figures. All were politically motivated by mass industrialisation and the social and political climate post Peterloo.
