The Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) and the FBMH Cancer Research Domain are organising a two-part event series to raise awareness of Manchester’s exceptional strengths in proton beam therapy (PBT), experimental capability and data platforms. The programme in the first of the events on 18th December will consist of presentations, Q&A and breakout sessions. The event is co-hosted by Prof Karen Kirkby and Prof Rob Bristow. Please register for the 18th Dec event using Eventbrite and sign up early as places are limited.
The purpose of the event is to
o provide a networking event for investigators from the three faculties and different research disciplines to come together
o identify what cross-disciplinary research is needed to maximise the impact of PBT
o generate cross-disciplinary collaborations and diverse grant proposals from basic and applied sciences.
The second event will take place in Spring 2020 (date TBC).
Registration from 9.30; programme starts at 10am; lunch included. Full programme to follow soon.
