Shamser Sinha and Les Back will read some extracts from their forthcoming book Migrant City and talk about the issues raised by writing it. The book is the story of contemporary London from the perspective of 30 adult migrants who come from a wide variety of social backgrounds and includes their take on Brexit and the so-called 'migrant crisis.' The book is based on research with the participants spanning a decade in some cases. It is also an experiment in collaborative ethnography or what the authors call a more 'sociable sociology'.
- This is a free event and open to all- no registration required.
