Four-time Grammy Award–winning Puerto Rican percussionist Carlos Maldonado joins the Oxford Road Experiment, an 18-piece ensemble of talented young music students and recent graduates from the University of Manchester. This vibrant programme of Afro–Latin jazz includes the world premiere of Maldonado's Navarro Dreams, a striking fusion of Puerto Rican Bomba Sica with the distinctive sounds of Mancunian pop. Music lovers of all ages are welcome to enjoy the many voices of Latin American music, including popular songs from the American Songbook arranged in contemporary Afro–Latin settings.
