Dr Ellen Lewis will guide us to critically consider systems thinking as both a tool for inclusion and a mechanism of exclusion. While making systems visible can surface marginalised human and non-human voices, it can also expose them to new risks and misrepresentation. Drawing on critical systems thinking and ecological justice, Ellen will share her collaborative work with Dr. Anne Stephens which argues for a shift toward socioecological awareness that recognises non-human agency and the ethical implications of representation. Together, they call for more reflexive, pluralistic practices that question boundaries, power, and whose realities are made visible—and to whom.?
The talk will be 20 minutes with 10 minutes for you to ask questions.
We look forward to seeing you!
