Nina Whiteman: Earthed (10’) - premiere
Kevin Malone: Sudden Memorials (30’)
Sudden Memorials was given its first performance in the Wigmore Hall on the twentieth anniversary of the September 11th attacks and forms the centrepiece of Adam Swayne’s 2021 album “9/11:20”. Here it is partnered with a new work in which Nina Whiteman continues her compositional exploration of all things below ground.
“A powerful experience … played with unutterable tenderness … remarkably touching.”
Colin Clarke, Fanfare
