EXCITING OPPORTUNITY! - Young Smiles Event – 18th Nov, Manchester

We’re really excited to tell you about The Centre for Women’s Mental Health and University of Manchester’s ‘Young Smiles Event’ This Unique Event brings together children and young people with academics, policymakers, charities, health professionals and parents to understand what makes young people resilient or vulnerable to mental health problems.

Together, we aim to use the latest data/information to answer these questions: What (on Earth) is happening to young people’s mental health? How can young people tackle todays challenges? What collaborative approaches will ensure their longterm happiness and health?

You'll hear from leading experts about what makes a person resilient or vulnerable You’ll hear about what parental and family mental health means for children Young people will share their experiences of being in families with mental illness, and how they've managed to overcome some of those challenges Interactive seminars, workshops and satellite events will consider ways young people can manage life’s challenges
