The University of Manchester Gateway Programme provides a new opportunity for Year 7-11 learners within Greater Manchester to participate in a coherent series of academic enrichment and Higher Education awareness activities.
The Y11 Skills for Success Visit focuses on improving learners’ research and team-working skills through completing a group research enquiry into a topical issue. Learners mix with pupils from other schools in order to develop communication and team-working skills and to learn from others’ experiences and expertise.
