Title: “Intermediate Dimensions”
Abstract: Dimensions are central tools in fractal geometry, with Hausdorff dimension and box-counting dimensions probably the best known. We will show that Hausdorff and box dimensions may be regarded as the extremes of a continuum of dimensions, called intermediate dimensions. The talk will describe some of the main properties of intermediate dimensions and will be illustrated by examples.
