See below for further information and the sign-up link, please come along if you can. Please also share with your networks, all are welcome.
In this webinar (held in collaboration with the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Healthy Weight), we will talk about our joint research project which examined how the General Practice Physical Activity Questionnaire (known as GPPAQ) is used in primary care/community settings. We undertook a rapid review of international research to see how well the GPPAQ works compared to other tools and then held a workshop with health and physical activity experts, to talk about what we learned and decide what works best. This work will help us understand whether GPPAQ is the best tool to assess physical activity, and to consider what other tools might be good to use.
Date: Wednesday 6th May 2026: 12pm – 1pm
Chair: Professor Chris Todd (University of Manchester)
This session will include talks on:
• Characterising the use of the General Practice Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPPAQ) in English primary care, using data from the Clinical Practice Research Data Link (CPRD)
• Brief Tools for the Assessment of Physical Activity in Primary Care Settings: An Expert-Informed Narrative Review
• Roundtable on Tools to Support Measurement of Physical Activity in Primary Care Settings
