The Centre for Crisis Studies and Mitigation at The University of Manchester invites you for a virtual session. Extreme weather events and natural hazards in the last decade or so have placed resilience in the spotlight of decision-making, regulatory and planning bodies in power systems. This talk will share experiences and applications from international projects on the topic of resilient planning and operation of low-carbon power systems.
Bio: Dr Mathaios Panteli is a Lecturer in Resilient, Low-Carbon Energy Systems with more than 10 years of experience in the planning, design and operation of resilient and sustainable power systems. He is the 2018 Newton Prize winner, IEEE Senior Member, IET CEng and the co-chair of the CIGRE WG C4.47 “Power System Resilience”.
The talk will be followed by Moderated Q&A.
