LACAN IN BRAZIL AND MEXICO
1. The Body in Crisis: Psychosocial Care in Brazil
GUSTAVO MIRANDA FONSECA is a psychologist and doctoral student from Fluminense Federal University (UFF, Niterói, Brazil). He has worked since graduation in the mental health field, mainly the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). His current research investigates, from the experiences in the field of mental health, the body and enjoyment in the Lacanian tradition.
2. Mexico in Lacan: is there a post-colonial Lacan?
CARLOS GÓMEZ CAMARENA maintains a private psychoanalytical practice in Mexico City. He is also researcher at Center of Exploration and Critical Thinking at Universidad Iberoamericana. He is a PhD student at Université Paris 7 Diderot, where he is researching on the clinical and theoretical uses of mathematics and poetry in lacanian psychoanalysis. He has studied at Harvard University and Birkbeck, University of London. Currently he is part of translator team for Barbara Cassin’s ‘Dictionary of Untranslatables’ and he has also translated Alenka Zupancic’s book ‘The Odd One In’ into Spanish.
