Summary
The need to address large population health burden is a corner stone of the NHS Long Term Plan. The NHS is now considering population health approaches for the implementation of new health technologies. This requires understanding how new technologies could be deployed and delivered in the real world. As part of a national commercial agreement between the UK Government and Novartis, we are working with NHS England and Novartis to evaluate how to deploy and deliver the cholesterol lowering drug inclisiran at scale in primary care. This presentation will describe the study methods and discuss how trial represents an opportunity to rethink traditional development pathway for new technologies.
