Exhibition: MossWorlds - Re-Storying Urban Lives
Now exhibiting in the Samuel Alexander Glass Corridor: MossWorlds – Re-Storying Urban Lives
Until 2 March 2026
Samuel Alexander Glass Corridor
The exhibition showcases the mosses of Manchester from the 19th Century to the present, tracing their shared artistic, political and botanical stories. Through poetry, musical scores and embroidery, the exhibition seeks to unearth these historic relationships and imagine Manchester’s (mossy) futures.
The exhibition is based on 'MossWorlds', an interdisciplinary research project undertaken by Dr Anke Bernau, Dr Aurora Fredriksen and Dr Ingrid Hansen at The University of Manchester during 2024-5, supported by Creative Manchester.
