A new six-week training programme called "Connecting with Commercial Organisations", designed to support academics in developing the skills and confidence to engage effectively with commercial partners, will commence on April 29th 2025. The programme will be delivered by Skillfluence Ltd, a UK-based skills development company with a mission to help researchers deliver maximum socio-economic value from their research. The training programme will feature guest speakers from industry.

The APPLICATION DEADLINE for the programme is 8th April 2025 at 5pm.

The programme will run for 6 weeks and will require a time commitment of approximately 3 hours per week. There will be a weekly online session which will be 2 hours in duration, and these online sessions will be on the following dates:

  • Module 1: Tuesday 29th April 2025; 13:00 - 15:00
  • Module 2: Tuesday 6th May 2025; 13:00 - 15:00
  • Module 3: Tuesday 13th May 2025; 13:00 - 15:00
  • Module 4: Tuesday 20th May 2025; 13:00 - 15:00
  • Module 5: Tuesday 3rd June 2025; 13:00 - 15:00
  • Module 6: Tuesday 10th June 2025; 13:00 - 15:00

Important: Academics will still need to apply, and spaces are limited. Academics across FBMH are eligible to apply. We advise academics to read through the programme information via the micro-site link, including workshop dates and programme outcomes.

Note: The "Connecting with Commercial Organisations" training programme costs a significant amount of money per registrant. Please be realistic when considering if you can adhere to the time commitment outlined above.
