THE UNIFIED GENERATION comes to The Whitworth with two powerful anthologies of spoken word poetry and film created by the young 'R&D Creative Writers', from Respect & Dignity Arts in collaboration with Young Identity.
This is a unique opportunity to be inspired by amazing young voices from Lancashire as they share their incredible spoken word poetry and film.
Anthology One - THOSE FROM DISTANT LANDS:
In this anthology, R&D Creative Writers explore the formidable story of their ancestors. How those from distant lands left the towns that fed them, composing extraordinary stories and defining their place in present times.
Audiences will also have an opportunity to view the screening of the ground-breaking short film, ‘Those from Distant Lands.’
Anthology Two - THE ART OF GRATITUDE:
In this anthology, the young creatives explore the concept of gratitude in its various forms, and in their writing, you will find a deep-rooted appreciation for things in life that are both meaningful and valuable, which are often overlooked or taken for granted.
Audiences will also have an opportunity to view the screening of the empowering shorts films, ‘Gratitude of Nature’ and ‘Enough.’
