Join Angie McCarthy and Tony Richards from the John Rylands Research Institute and Library Imaging Team as they explore how portrait photographic jewellery has always been a sentimental favourite, a place to hold memories of of loved ones, kept close to the heart or simply held in the palm of the hand. They will discuss items from the Photographic Jewellery Manchester Digital Collection and consider the life cycle of the object and ask how a face from the past can still intrigue and connect with us today.
This online free event will include a 30-minute talk followed by a 15-minute Q&A. The talk will take place on Zoom, and the link will be sent prior to the event.
