PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE SCHEDULED STRIKE ACTION THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.
The session will cover the practical and pedagogical applications of the PeerGrade platform as a tool to engage with students in a peer assessment environment.
With PeerGrade students are exposed to each other’s work and are asked to give feedback on the submission (usually 3 times) based on the marking rubric you choose to set.
With proper rubric creation, a numerical grade can be automatically calculated for each submission alongside written comments guided by the questions you set in the rubric.
We will explore the gap this fills in the Universities learning technology toolkit, relate experiences of its use in live teaching and discuss student feedback on having used it.
There will be an opportunity to explore the student experience of PeerGrade via iPads (provided), and discussion around how you can integrate it into your teaching will take place.
The intended learning outcomes of the session are to:
Gain an understanding of PeerGrade and the gap it fills in The Universities’ Learning Technology toolkit
Explore the time saving potential of giving students an extra batch of personalised feedback while not having to personally mark any assessments.
Discover current applications of PeerGrade in teaching and the feedback form students this has generated.
Experience PeerGrade from a student perspective.
Refreshments will be provided. If you would like to attend this event, please register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/masterclass-effective-peer-assessment-using-the-peergrade-platform-tickets-77977664293?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing
