In the next few decades, humanity will confront the life-threatening changes of global warming and mass extinction. Yet the only ‘solutions’ on offer are market-oriented policies. In 'Half-Earth Socialism', Troy Vettese and Drew Pendergrass offer a utopian alternative: a globally planned economy with a primary goal to rewild half the earth.
Organised by the Political Economy Centre in collaboration with the Post-Crash Economics Society and the Politics Society, Troy Vettese is joining us at University Place 2.220 to present his book on Wednesday 9th of November from 5pm-7pm. We will also have an online option to join the event.
