The 2012 Annual Conference of the British Association for Near Eastern Archaeology will be held at The University of Manchester from the evening of Friday 8 to Sunday 10 June 2012. The main venue will be the Manchester Museum.
The Conference organisers would welcome proposals for contributions from both British and international scholars that showcase recent work and new approaches to the Ancient Near East. Themed sessions that could lead to publication through the BANEA Publication Series could also be considered. As in previous years there will be a session dedicated to recent fieldwork. Both papers and posters are invited. Proposed titles should be sent to conference@banea.org together with 150 word abstracts. We are particularly open to contributions from younger scholars and postgraduates.
There will be a free public lecture on the evening of Friday 8 June and interested members of the public are also invited to attend the weekend lectures in the Manchester Museum for a small registration cost (waged £65; unwaged £30).
