Please join us for this inaugural event, the first in a series to showcase and celebrate some of the diverse work on environmental questions and challenges undertaken by colleagues, alumni and students from across the Faculty of Humanities.
We begin with the first screening in England of Dr Emily Munro’s 2021 documentary film, Living Proof: A Climate Story. Living Proof explores Scotland’s complex relationship to the global climate crisis through film and music, drawing extensively on archival footage. It has screened widely in its home country and abroad and was nominated for a FOCAL Award.
The screening will be followed by a round table discussion with Faculty colleagues and audience questions, and will close with a reception.
This event is presented by Faculty of Humanities Environmental Sustainability and Creative Manchester. Please view the University's Environmental Sustainability strategy, which outlines how we will reduce our carbon footprint, promote sustainability in our teaching and learning, research and innovation, and reduce our negative environmental operational impact.
