Neuronal Circuits Controlling EnergyMetabolism: Novel Insights BeyondAppetite Regulation:
The brain is the master regulator of appetite and fuel metabolism. Overrecent years, advanced genetic technologies have enabled anunprecedented level of resolution in studying and defining key neuronalcircuits. These advancements have not only deepened our understandingof the genetic, hodological, and functional aspects of these circuits butalso guided drug discovery and the development of innovativetherapeutics.
The focus of this presentation will be on an emerging, more integratedperspective of these neuronal networks, moving beyond the traditionalconfines of appetite regulation, and shedding light on the broaderimplications these circuits have in coordinating complex behaviours andregulating organ physiology.
