Manchester has produced some remarkable women and these pioneering women have made a significant contribution to how we live our lives today.
To celebrate this, we’ll be delving into our Special Collections to showcase the achievements of some of our city’s most innovative women Elizabeth Gaskell, Enriquetta Rylands, The Pankhurst Sisters and Marie Stopes.
