The eagerly anticpated book 'Social Protection in Bangladesh: Building Effective Social Safety Nets and Ladders out of Poverty' is an edited output of conference presentations for the benefit of social protection actors in policy formulation, planning and implementation. This book has been edited by Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman, Professor David Hulme, Dr. Mathile Maitrot and Mr. Luigi Peter Ragno.
Rich of lessons to be learned, the book engages with international experiences, with current debates and with opportunities to reform social protection in Bangladesh. The chapters in a wide assortment of themes are written by a heterogeneous panel of national and international researchers, academics, practitioners and consultants from diverse disciplinary backgrounds.
The launch of the book is to be attended by a distinguished panel , where attendees will have an opportunity to discuss and ask the panel questions about the content of the book.
