This year's lecturer is Marion Turner, Tolkien Professor of English Literature and Language at Oxford, and author of an acclaimed biography, Geoffrey Chaucer: A European Life (Princeton, 2019) and The Wife of Bath: A Biography (Princeton, 2023).
Her topic is 'Imagining Medieval Lives'.
The Brook Lecture is named for G.L. Brook, Professor of English Language and Medieval English Literature at Manchester University, 1945–77.
