Science Stars gives Year 8 and 9 pupils a taste of university life and the chance to participate in some hands-on biology workshops run by staff and students of the Faculty of Life Sciences.
The pupils start the day with a lecture on 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' science in some well known animated films, followed by a series of fast-paced interactive workshops in our labs labs themed around DNA, cells, immunology, neuroscience and more. At lunchtime current students take groups on a tour of the campus.
Teachers can bring groups of up to 30 pupils.
