CEAS Research Showcase Day
Come along to the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science’s Research Showcase Event to find out how our current academics and researchers are developing innovative solutions to address big industrial issues towards a more sustainable future. You will hear how our research creates practical and sustainable advances for intellectual, economic, environmental and societal benefit, and why we are consistently rated as one of the leading Schools in our discipline within the UK and world-wide.
You will hear from key players in fields through a series of talks and research poster presentations covering a wide spectrum of industrially relevant research activities, which reflect the vibrancy of research within our School. These will range from process analytics to process optimisation and integration; the fundamental and process control of crystalisation, to engineering advanced materials and diagnostics to improve our quality of life. There will also be an opportunity to participate in Open Table discussions with our academics and researchers focussing on the Grand Challenge Areas of Energy, Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing and Water. Tours of our fully instrumented Pilot Plant Facility will be offered so you can see first hand our capability to study a wide range of processes at a scale that is intermediate between laboratory and full-size. This facility is among the best facilities of any Chemical Engineering School in the UK.
CEAS Head of School, Professor Chris Hardacre, says "This event creates a great opportunity to identify new collaborative networking, in particular, industrialists will be able to establish new dialogues and build relationships with academics in addition to developing links across industries".
