We are delighted to announce that between 22nd October to 13th November, the annual ESRC Festival of Social Sciences
returns to Manchester for its 20th anniversary, with events taking place both virtually and in person. We will be showing
some of the spectacular research conducted across the social sciences at The University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan
University and the University of Salford.
The ESRC Festival of Social Science is an annual celebration of research and knowledge about humans and society and a key
element of ESRC’s commitment to promote awareness of UK social science research to new audiences.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘My Local Area’ and for 2022 we have a special focus on the many ways in which social science research
contributes to social, economic and political life across the City, region and beyond.
