This is a course on the FBMH Academic Development Programme, welcome to all colleagues within the Faculty.
Whether you're just beginning your teaching journey or looking to refresh your approach, this workshop offers a collaborative space to share experiences, explore contemporary teaching practices, and develop practical strategies to engage and support your students.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Share experiences of own teaching practice
- Compare and contrast traditional versus contemporary teaching practice.
- Consider ways of engaging students to encourage participation.
- Identify a range of teaching/facilitation skills and techniques needed to meet the learning needs of students.
- Plan a teaching session, identifying common challenges and proposing solutions to overcome them.
- Practice teaching/facilitation techniques.
