This collective seminar will feature three short talks showcasing recent key publications in the field of literary translation: Translation as Creative-Critical Practice (2023) by Delphine Grass; Translations and Copyright in the Italian Book Trade: Publishers, Agents, and the State (1900–1947) (2024) by Anna Lanfranchi; and Translation Multiples: From Global Culture to Postcommunist Democracy (2025) by Kasia Szyma?ska.

The talks will be followed by a discussion of recent trends in literary translation research, including the visibility of translation through self-reflexive narratives and the role of publishers and other agents in the translation process. Two responses from translation studies scholars – Ruth Abou Rached (University of Manchester) and Ewa Rajewska (Adam Mickiewicz University, Pozna?) – will follow, before the forum is opened for questions from the audience.
