Overview
This is a required session for all new academics and fellows in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health (FBMH) who need to engage with the Academic Development Programme as part of probationary requirement. The session aims to bring you together with other new colleagues, to give you an opportunity to network with established academics and will explain how best to engage with the FBMH Academic Development Programme (ADP) during your probation.
It aims to support you in your new role and equip you with the skills you need to carry out your research and teaching and learning at the highest level.
Note: You should already be registered as a New Academics or Fellow on the Academic Development Programme (ADP) before booking or attending this session
Intended learning outcomes
- Recall the structure of the programme, its aims and objectives and the expected level of engagement for participants.
- Apply guidance regarding career planning and CPD activity.
- Demonstrate reflective learning in your academic practice.
