Get to know the beating heart of Manchester’s vibrant night scene with our four official University of Manchester Welcome Parties. One wristband gives you access to four bespoke nights across the city – each delivering an insight to Manchester’s unique character. From Deansgate’s musical heritage to Pangaea, the largest student festival in Europe, you’ll be sure to find your corner of Manchester. Expect great venues, special guests and DJs in an energetic and plugged-in atmosphere.
On Sunday 26 September, we end our Official Welcome Parties with Pangaea. Run by students, for students, Pangaea is the hottest ticket in town. Over 6,000 revellers will descend upon the Students’ Union for an unforgettable night of music, street food and amazing visuals. Previous acts have included Hot Chip, Clean Bandit, Booka Shade, Sister Sledge, London Grammar, and DJ Yoda. Full details will be announced 13th August 2015.
The Official Welcome Parties are exclusive to University of Manchester students. All our events are carefully created to give you a safe, secure and enjoyable experience.
With last year’s wristbands selling out, the Official Welcome Parties are the only way for you to guarantee spending Welcome Week with your new-found friends – so we’d strongly advise you get yours early.
- *Tickets are limited to one per person and you will need to show your University ID or official offer letter when collecting your wristband. Wristbands can be collected from your halls of residence from Thursday 17 – Sunday 20 September from 10:00 – 16:00. Students living at home can collect their wristbands from the Students’ Union foyer. All wristbands must be collected by 16:00 on Sunday 20 September.
