English performance poet, comedian, musician and songwriter
Acclaimed poet John Hegley will be performing to pupils from local primary schools to celebrate National Poetry Day 2016.
National Poetry Day is the annual mass celebration of poetry and all things poetical. This year’s theme will be ‘Messages’.
Having produced ten books of verse and prose the UK's favourite performance poet, comedian and musician, John Hegley will enchant the children with his poetic genius and silliness, delivered in his unique performance style.
Rhyming expertise is interspersed with mandolin melodies that will have everyone singing along in a performance with lots of audience participation!
The 60 minute interactive performance will provide a safe, fun learning opportunity for the children, delivered by a highly commended poet. It is a tried and tested performance which has already been delivered to several primary and secondary schools across the country.
This performance is suitable for schoolchildren in Years 5 and 6.
