In 2017, the Confucius Institute started to work with Hulme Community Garden Centre on the project of creating a Chinese garden that can be enjoyed by their visitors. The garden was designed by CI staff, students, and volunteers and includes Chinese elements such as arched gate, greenhouse, water feature and Chinese plants like mulberry trees and bamboo. The foundation is now laid and we need your help to finish the project by end of May. We are running three workshops where you can give your input to finish the garden project and leave your mark at a vibrant Manchester community.
At this session, we will survey the ground and decide what plants to be laid which represents a Chinese garden in all four seasons.
