Screening and Skype conversation with O!PLA organiser Piotr Kardas and animator Anna R?kas.
O!PLA is a non-profit project to promote the art of animation in Poland and abroad. It is organised by cultural activist Piotr Kardas through the initiative ‘Animation across Borders’. Visual Dialogues will screen a selection of the awarded animations from the festival held 2014, followed by a Q&A with the organiser and one of the film-makers. Kardas will participate through Skype addressing cultural activism, the scene of Polish animators and the future of animation. Anna R?kas will discuss her stop-motion film ‘The Wire Man’ in relation to the materiality of plasticine animation.
