Join us 6-8pm at Islington Mill for a preview of Niki’s new work in progress, exploring the crossovers between stroke rehabilitation techniques and ceramic making.
This work reflects Niki’s practice as an artist working on the Arts for Health programme of the Whitworth Art Gallery at the Stroke Unit at Trafford General Hospital, and further work with stroke survivors exploring the aesthetic and therapeutic dimensions of ceramic materials.
The exhibition preview will be followed by a research conversation responding to Niki’s work. Respondents include Stuart Allan, Stephanie Snow, Simon Parry and Nuala Morse
This event is open to all and may be of particular interest to artists, stroke survivors and their families, health professionals, charities, academics and students.
