About the event:
We are hosting an extended Enterprise Forum event, featuring two exceptional speakers, which is open to academics, post-graduate students and staff interested in local biotechnology SMEs. A buffet lunch will be provided.
Dr Glenn Prestwich from the University of Utah will talk about his impressive entrepreneurial activity; to date he has launched over nine successful companies!
Dr Duncun Casson, Chief Development Officer at Kymab, FLS outstanding alumnus 2012, and one of the UK's leading developers of biological medicines, will give a personal perspective on his 25 years’ experience in driving forward highly successful companies.
• One of Duncan's companies - PanGenetics - was purchased by Abbott in 2010 for $190m.
• Duncan was also instrumental in the development of Cambridge Antibody Technologies.
Duncan will be available for one to one meetings from 2pm should you wish to talk to him about specific project - please book these by emailing Zoher Kapacee (Zoher.Kapacee@manchester.ac.uk).
