As you may know, a number of grant retreats have been held across the Faculty by the Directors of Research within individual Schools (Karina Lovell SHS, Andy Trafford SMS and John Mcbeth SBS). We thought it would be fruitful to run a fellowship retreat across the Faculty focussed on fellowships (clinical and non-clinical).
The aim of the fellowship retreat is to provide time (and expertise) to write a fellowship application. The structure is loose as the aim is to give researchers a quiet place without distraction to write. There will be facilitators who you can meet on a 1-1 basis to discuss aspects of your fellowship and includes Research Business Management Support, Finance and Funding, Academics with Expertise in Trials, Reviews, Health Economics and Stats etc. It is overnight (at Chancellors Hotel) but don’t feel that you are obliged to stay over.
This event will take place on 7th & 8th March 2019 at Chancellors Hotel.
