Hidden Stories of the Lawrence Inquiry
The Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre invites you to a book launch and discussion with Dr Richard Stone, author of recently published book ‘Hidden Stories of the Lawrence Inquiry’.
Dr Stone was a panel member of the 1997 – 99 Stephen Lawrence Inquriy as advisor to the judge, Sir William Macpherson.
This is the fourth in a series of visits to each of the six inner city areas visited by the Lawrence Inquiry in 1998. It is an opportunity for the public to discuss with Dr Stone:
• Current concerns about racism in Manchester, especially of younger people who were too young to know about the Lawrence Inquiry.
• Report on progress that has or has not been made.
• Identify how we can work together to make the necessary progress.
More information about the Hidden Stories tour and how to book can be found on the Hidden Stories website.
