Saturday Supplement: Life Stories and Portraits
Saturday 14 March
Tours, talks, performances and workshops exploring the themes of auto-biography and biography within our exhibitions Portraits and Thomas Schütte.
11am – Tour: Exhibitions Curator, Bryony Bond will bring to light stories of the some of the key individuals and artists in our collection shown in the exhibition Portraits.
1pm – Talk: Artist Mel Brimfield, Exhibitions Curator, Bryony Bond and art historian Andrew Hardman discuss art and biography, looking at art that makes artists its subject.
2.30pm – Workshop: Artist, Alan Birch, leads a hands-on print making session inspired by the visual diary, Low Tide Wandering, by Thomas Schütte.
4pm – Performance: Epiphany create live, improvised musical portraits of key works shown in our Portraits exhibition.
