Music is the medicine explores how listening to music, singing, making music and music therapy can aid recovery and positively benefit individual’s wellbeing.
Our panel of speakers will explore how listening to music, singing, making music and music therapy can aid recovery and positively benefit individual’s wellbeing. Following this will be live performances from the brilliant DJ Werkha.
We are also offering the opportunity for visitors to experience our wellbeing programme. No emails, texts, updates or alerts – join us in a yoga workshop with Olivia that takes full advantage of the Manchester Museum’s peaceful setting.
Olivia is a Manchester based Yoga Teacher who qualified in multi-style yoga in 2018. She teaches classes in a Hatha style, slow flow Vinyasa or Yin with meditation. Her classes are inclusive, focusing on the principles of yoga rather than just the physical asana (postures).
“I really enjoyed the class. We both have never appreciated and enjoyed a yoga class per say before, and sort of did it as a physical way of stretching opposed to mind-body connection. Whereas in your class we just found it incredibly emotional and lovely. Feeling very relaxed and wholesome.” – Client after a Yin class.
